Party for Heroes

Big thanks to those who attended the Party For Heroes on the 4th June.  It was a fantastic evening with lots of entertainment including slight of hand magic thanks to The Magic Mod and a very successful auction hosted by Brigadier Matt Maer.  There was even a Tigers vodka Luge thanks to John Bolton, 3PWRR.
Members of the 3rd Battalion and the PWRR drummers were in attendance and were joined on stage by a flashmob before Brian Jones, Jakey Jay and Steve Proctor took to the decks until the early hours.
A huge thanks to Mick and Joanne Cooper, Nicola Simpson and the rest of the team who worked tirelessly to set up the event on behalf of the Friends.  A staggering £14,200 was raised on the night.
Thanks also to Kaminario, Nexsan, and Isys Data Solutions for sponsering this event.

One of the most prestigious events in The Friends calendar is the Evening with Heroes.

Delivered at the Tower of London, this event brings together a mix of celebrities, business sponsors and members of the regiment for an evening of military entertainment, tales from the front line and an exciting charity auction.

We raised over £50,000 for the charity and would like to thank all involved for their generous contributions.

In September 2015, The Friends undertook their biggest challenge to date, Tigers Ride To Recovery.  In just 14 days, 12 men cycled 3000 miles across America  in one of the world’s toughest endurance events.  Amongst the Ride To Recovery team was Sgt Jay Baldwin who in 2012 lost both his legs in a Taliban IED. Read more and meet the team.
